This is the full text of the terms-of-use and privacy notice presented at sign-up and accepted by the user. Acceptance is recorded against the account as a version and a timestamp, and is requested again whenever the text changes.
What this app does
It reads published airspace, terrain, NOTAM and weather data and reports what it found for a point and time, together with what it could not evaluate. It is a planning aid. It is not a source of clearance, and it does not replace the published sources or a coordination call.
What is collected
- Name, email address, phone number and qualification. These are held by Auth0, our identity provider, and are not stored on our own servers.
- The request-to-try form: the same three fields, sent by email to the owner, who is the controller. Nothing from that form is stored on our servers.
- Map pins and flight plans you save are stored on our server against your account, so they are there when you sign in again or on another device. A saved flight plan holds what you entered - the place, date, times, altitude and operational details - never a check result, and it is not shared unless you share it. A check you do not save is not stored on our servers. If you attach a pinned point to a feedback report (below), it is stored with that report.
- Your operator profile — the licences and drone details you enter — is stored on our server against your account, so it is there when you sign in again or on another device. It holds the basics you type, not any official registry record, and it is never shared.
- Counts of engagement — a session, a wizard started, a step reached — against a pseudonymous identifier. Never the contents of a flight, a location or a result.
- A record of actions you take while signed in — for example creating or editing a profile entry, or running a check — kept against your account with the time, for support and security during the alpha. It records that an action happened and on which item, not the contents of a flight, a location or a result. It is kept for 90 days and then removed.
- Feedback and bug reports you choose to send from inside the app: what you type, with basic context — the screen you were on, the app version, language and theme, screen size and browser — and, only if you tick the box, the pinned point and its planned altitude. Each report is stored on our server against your account and emailed to the owner; that email also carries your account email address, which is not stored with the report. Reports are kept for 90 days and then removed, and are removed when the account is deleted.
Access and correction
The identity record held by Auth0, and the operator profile held on our server, may each be inspected, corrected or deleted on request to the controller. Deleting the identity record ends access, because access is the account. The activity record cannot be edited after the fact and is removed when the account is deleted.
